Classic Images

Classic duck hunting art captures the essence of the moment and evokes a response from the viewer such as: I experienced that, I was there, I know what that is like. It is classic in the sense the artist has captured an emotional response from us using a timeless image that is but long on emotion. These images can stir waterfowlers' hearts today, 50 years ago, or 50 years hence. These images trigger our own special memories of classic days afield. Those of us that respond to this art are fortunate, indeed, since we use our response to re-kindle the passion for duck hunting we have felt before and hope to experience again.

Brett Smith, the artist, is a passionate waterfowler himself. He is a frequent contributor to Ducks Unlimited. While he works in many types of media, hand-made etchings were an early and constant passion. Any of his images that appear on our site are available for purchase. Although only a limited quantity of each signed and numbered etching will be produced.
